What is a Speed Dating Case Study?
It is when a group of people who don’t know each other work together to solve a problem or brainstorm solutions to a scenario. This is done in a timed manner, and participants will cycle through four case studies.
Goals:
- to facilitate networking amongst workshop participants
- to share ideas and perspectives from a diversity of workshop participants
- for participants to get their hands dirty with a real world restoration/reclamation scenario
- for Table Leaders to walk away with valuable contributions from workshop participants who looked at a challenge with fresh set of eyes.
When: afternoon of February 12th, 2024 (1:00pm to 3:00pm) .
Table Leaders will have 3 minutes to present the scenario and then the group will have 12 minutes to brainstorm, problem-solve and/or deliver it. You are welcome to bring any aids that you would like (maps, images, species lists, etc). The aids stay with you and the table and the groups rotate. Table Leaders will present their scenario to four different groups.
